INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENTS
FROM THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY FOUNDATION
After you have received your bill for tuition [or fee schedule], at the beginning of the school year, please mail a copy to Fairfield County Foundation, P.O. Box 159, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or fax to 740-654-3971. Please allow 5 business days for payment to be processed.
The same procedure is followed the second semester, or quarter, except that you must include a copy of your grade report when you submit your tuition bill or fee schedule for payment. Sometimes grades are sent later than your fee schedule; in this case please let us know when you will be sending your grades. We do not want to delay the payment of your fees, but we must have your grades or know when we will get them before we can issue a check.
One third to one half of your scholarship funds will be sent to you via a check made payable to the University and you. You may then endorse the check and forward it to the financial office of your University. The Fairfield County Foundation is not permitted to reimburse families for prepayment of fees unless the University is willing to allow you to endorse the check over to them and then reimburse you. Please let us know if you are on a quarter or semester schedule.
Some scholarships permit reapplication and others do not. You may wish to talk with the Chairman of your scholarship; to find out if the scholarship you have been awarded is renewable for another year. Scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 academic year are available at the Fairfield County Foundation office as of January 1, 2008.
