Edward N. Sands Scholarship- Mr. Sands established this scholarship in 1993 to benefit residents of the Liberty Union-Thurston school district who have a financial need and will be attending an Ohio tax supported institution of higher learning. Edward Sands Application
Donald I. Rodenbaugh Engineering Rotary Scholarship- Mr. Rodenbaugh, a Rotarian for 30 years, graduated in 1932 from Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon) in Mechanical Engineering. The majority of his working career was spent as a glass furnace engineer who obtained several patents on processes related to the manufacturing of glass products. Mr. Rodenbaugh’s family established a Charitable Lead Trust, in 1998 to provide scholarships for students enrolled in a College of Engineering at a state-supported university in Ohio. Recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student in a College of Engineering at a state supported school in Ohio and must maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Shelly Strigle Memorial Scholarship- In 1987, the parents and friends of Shelly Strigle, wishing to perpetuate the name and memory of Shelly Strigle, established the Shelly Strigle Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships which would partially cover tuition to attend Fisher Catholic High School. The selection of recipients will be based on financial need and scholastic achievement. To be eligible a student must be a student in one of the schools in Fairfield County and be in financial need of said scholarship. Strigle Application
Trevor and Violet Jones Memorial Scholarship- This scholarship, for Walnut Township Local High School, honoring former history teacher, principal and coach of Millersport High School was the first scholarship established at the Fairfield County Foundation in 1991. It was set up by his students, friends and family to recognize over 26 years of service to Millersport. Violet Jones, his widow and former Millersport first grade teacher, established a trust to ensure this fund continues to be available for many years to come.
